4-H is an organization for youth ages 5-18 who enjoy “learning by doing.” The four pillars are STEM, Agriculture, Healthy Living, and Civic Engagement.

Henderson County 4-H Clubs and Programs
Young Naturalists
Club focuses on wildlife, environmental studies, shooting sports, as well as other 4-H topics!
Co-Exist
Club focus varies depending on interest of the 4-H Club members. Each meeting has a hands-on project!
SPIN Programs
4-H Special Interest (SPIN) Clubs are short-term programs that are dedicated to a specific topic or interest group. Special Interest Clubs are a great introduction to all 4-H has to offer!

Club focuses on science and technology projects, community service, public speaking, citizenship, and other fun projects!
Leaders in Training
Club focuses on community service projects, citizenship, public speaking and fun educational topics such as baking, cooking, hiking, field trips and more!
School Enrichment
Henderson County 4-H partners with local school systems to provide 4-H curriculum in the classroom!

Club focus is on raising, showing, and care for farm animals as well as other 4-H life skills.
Honeybee
The honeybee 4-H Club learns about, honeybees! They work with live hives through a season.
Summer Camp
4-H Camp provides the full benefits of a 4‑H experience coupled with the fun and wonder of camping in the great outdoors. At North Carolina 4-H camps youth can learn skills including; archery, rock climbing, canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, and horseback riding.
